DEAR SUN SPOTS: Are there any Avon representatives in the area of Lake Street, Auburn? — No Name via email

ANSWER: Sun Spots knows of one in Auburn, Norm McGraw, 783-8196.

Another option is to go to Avon.com, input your address and search for a representative near you.

Sun Spots hasn’t had this question in a couple of years, so she expects other salespeople will write in with their contact information. If so, she will be glad to publish their letters.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Your column has helped the Auburn Lions Club with projects in the past; at this time, the club needs help to locate new members.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: This may not be too early to print. Dry cleaners will often clean U.S. flags for free, as the local one did for us. Please check your flag to be sure it isn’t starting to tatter. I had to call a bank in Gorham to ask them to replace their flag. It was! — No Name via email

ANSWER: Even if you can’t get the job done for free, it’s a good idea to care properly for your flag. This year, Memorial Day is Monday, May 28; Flag Day is Thursday, June 14; and the Fourth of July is a Wednesday.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: We at the Universalist Church of Greene are gearing up for our annual yard sale to be held at some point in July this year. This is one of our fundraisers that helps us to keep our doors open.

In the past your readers have been instrumental in making our sale a success, so we are writing to request donations for our sale. We are looking for any kind of gently used items, including clothing.
