LIVERMORE FALLS — Plans are shaping up nicely for Treat Memorial Library’s 2012 Summer Reading Program, “Vote for Books.” This being a presidential election year, planners felt that young readers might enjoy being part of the election process. Fundraising for the program is ongoing with two raffles.
Prizes for the first raffle include a basket of chocolate goodies, a quilt and a framed photograph. Photos of the prizes are posted on Facebook. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5.
The second raffle is a 50/50, which means the winner will receive 50 percent of the funds raised by that raffle. Tickets are $1 each, three for $2 or seven for $5.
Tickets for both raffles are available at the library, from library trustees and at Bailey Brothers. The winning tickets for both raffles will be drawn on History Night in Livermore Falls, at 8 p.m. Friday, May 25. Winners do not need to be present.
Saturday morning story time continues every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. through the end of June. All ages are welcome.
The knit/crochet group will continue through the summer. The group meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m.
For patrons with mobile devices, Treat’s catalog is now accessible on iPhones, iPads, Android phones/tablets or other touchscreen mobile devices. The download library is also available through the online catalog at treat.biblionix.com/atoz/catalog.
