DURHAM — An elderly Durham woman was transported to an area hospital after a two-vehicle crash at the three-way intersection of Swamp and Plummer Mill roads and Route 9 on Sunday afternoon.
Deputy Tim Kachnovich with the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office said 73-year-old Anita Sellars complained of chest pain as a result of the accident and was taken to Central Maine Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. A nursing supervisor at the hospital said Sunday night that Sellars was not listed as a patient.
Kachnovich identified the driver of the second vehicle as Jason Osborn, 31, also of Durham, who escaped apparent injury.
Kachnovich estimated damages at about $1,000 each to Seller’s 2011 Hyundai and Osborn’s 2001 Subaru in the 4:42 p.m. crash. No charges were filed.
