LEWISTON — Lewiston Middle School students were honored during Youth Art Month in March when their creations went on exhibit at The Portland Museum of Art and The Maine Education Association in Augusta. The artists are students of Kay Allison and Kate Cargile.

The Portland Museum of Art exhibit ran through the month of March. The two students from Lewiston Middle School in the exhibit were Zeinab Mohamud for her self-portrait and Max Clarrage for his drawing and block print.

The Maine Education Association student art exhibit will run through November. Teachers belonging to the association were able to select one student per teacher to represent their school. Lewiston Middle School students in the exhibit are Brianna Beauchesne for her painting and Kiera McArthur for her pastel still life drawing.
