AUBURN — Patrick LaChance, a senior at St. Dominic Academy, and son of Paul and Patricia LaChance of Raymond, has been selected to receive the 2012 Principal’s Award, Principal Fournier announced. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
Fournier said, “Patrick has continuously displayed the very best in integrity, community and excellence, three attributes that we emphasize at St. Dom’s.”
LaChance is active in the National Honor Society, Math team, Drama Club and Music Ministry. He is involved in cross country and track teams. He planned to join fellow classmates on a week-long Mission Mississippi outreach. A high-caliber student, he earned numerous awards throughout his high school career. He was selected as the Exchange Club Youth of the Year, and was a recipient of the Harvard Book Prize, the Rensselaer Medal and the Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award.
LaChance, Fournier and other award winners and their principals attended an Honors Luncheon in Bangor on April 7.
