100 years ago, 1912
Enthusiastically received by the dancing set in Lewiston and Auburn will be the news of a big Easter dance in Clifford Hall to be given for the “Campaign of Hope.” This will be in charge of the younger members of the board of directors of the Anti-Tuberculosis Association. In the case of a Bangor lad, examined here and found to be tubercular, who has entered Hebron, Dr. Estes Nichols has confirmed the diagnosis and says the outdoor treatment should prove beneficial. The lad is much pleased with Hebron, the fine table, and the delightful companionship of the young people there.

50 years ago, 1962
The 40th birthday celebration and annual meting of the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA will take place Monday night, April 16, at the Turner Street building. Deane R. Quinton of Auburn, long associated with the YMCA, is chairman of the affair and his committee is engaged in planning arrangements for the event. The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA was opened in May 1922. Magnus C. Hansen has been the general secretary of the “Y” since 1928 and Charles Connor is the president of the board of managers.

25 years ago, 1987
The third and fourth Gateways Class of Leeds Central School gave a medieval pageant to other classes in the school last week. The Gateways Class is a gifted and talented class and students have been studying about the Middle Ages.
