In Mark Paradis’ campaign ads, he speaks of change occurring the right way. That has been the mantra of liberal thinking for too long and I have seen the result in Lewiston of that “right” change.
A decade ago, a former mayor tried to slow down the change and was roundly castigated for it. He spoke the truth. I can see the results: Longley School bulging at the seams to the point where larger quarters are needed; city services being stretched to the limits.
Enough is enough. That is not the right change.
I am tired of Maine being a welfare capital, and I am tired of Lewiston being the welfare capital of Maine.
Change is needed. Not Paradis’ change.
Robert Macdonald gets my vote on Dec. 13.
