AUBURN — Janice Louise Guthrie Whiteley, 35, died at the Hospice House, Dec. 1, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Bangor, May 23, 1976, to Carroll and Jean Guthrie. She lived in Lewiston with her husband, Michael and three children, Steven and Isabella Rosado and Trent Whiteley.
Janice grew up in New Gloucester and graduated from Gray-New Gloucester High School in 1994. She attended Mount Ida College; Pratt Institute; Philadelphia School of Design and Catherine Gibbs College. She loved the colors of life and was artistically creative working in graphic design at Mainly Urns in Gray.
She is survived by her husband, Michael and three children of Lewiston; mother, Jean Guthrie of Poland; father, Carroll Guthrie of Auburn; four brothers, Robert Jackson, Mark Jackson, Greg Jackson and William Jackson; four sisters, Margaret Jackson Dixon, Christine Jackson Whitmore, Judith Jackson Wood and Karen Jackson; aunt, Frances Antal; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
