OXFORD — Oxford Hills Christian Academy has announced the addition of two new staff members this year, Sandra Benoit and Stephen Holbrook.

Benoit is a graduate of Andover College with an associate’s degree in early childhood education and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis on childhood development.

She has worked in several public schools as a substitute teacher and as an educational technician in the special education department at Songo Locks Elementary School in Naples. Additionally, she is an active member of the South Paris Baptist Church. This is her first year working at Oxford Hills Christian Academy as a pre-K/kindergarten teacher.

Benoit resides in Sweden with her husband, Gerald Benoit Jr., and is the mother of four children.

Holbrook has returned to Oxford Hills Christian Academy to teach the combined fifth and sixth grades after spending four years as a substitute teacher and Title 1 reading technician at Elm Street School in Mechanic Falls.

Holbrook received a bachelor’s degree from Fort Wayne Bible College and then a master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Following seminary, he served as a church planter in Bend, Ore., has pastored churches in Randolph, Vt., Augusta and Mechanic Falls as well as teaching in Augusta public schools and serving as a teaching administrator for Hosanna Christian School and Oxford Hills Christian Academy.

He is an active member of Pleasant Street Baptist Church in Mechanic Falls. He resides in South Paris with his wife, Sheila, and is the foster/adoptive father of 12 children.
