NORWAY — During September and October, Norway Memorial Library Children’s Room will introduce new programs and activities for the whole family to enjoy. For a full look at the fall programming check the “Kids’ Corner” Newsletter available at the Children’s Room.

Every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., children ages 1-4 are invited to join the Stay and Play program. This laid back hour allows children to play, explore and make friends.

Wednesday morning at 10:30 features the Terrific Tales program. This is a half-hour story and song program followed by an optional craft and play time. This is a great program for children ages 3-5 who love listening to stories and interacting with other children.

Starting the first week of October and running on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at the same time as Terrific Tales, 10:30 a.m., there will be a book club for homeschoolers. Young children can listen to stories with Ms. Anna while older children read and discuss books.

On Friday mornings the children’s room is focused on the youngest patrons. At 10:30 a.m. children from birth to 3 are invited to come for Book Time. Older brothers and sisters are also welcome. This is a fast-paced program featuring short stories, songs and movements designed for the squirmy child. Following Book Time is a half-hour playtime to acquaint children with the Children’s Room.

The second Saturday of every month is Family Story Time at 11 a.m. This themed story hour features stories and topics for the entire family. September’s family story time featured books and a craft about spaceships and aliens. Oct. 8 will be a pumpkin-themed Story Time. Family Story Time runs for 45 minutes.

Other special programs to look forward to this fall include Pajama Story Time, Tutu Terrific, Music and Movement and Letters to Santa.
