SPRING HILL, Fla. – Virginia L. “Ginny” Cram, 94, of Wales, Maine and Spring Hill, Fla., passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Sturgill Hospice House in Brooksville, Fla. following a brief illness.
She was born April 12, 1929, in Lewiston to the late Chester and Annie (Greenwood) Bubier. She attended school in Wales and was a 1947 graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn. On Nov. 6, 1947, in Wales, she married Bradford Cram of North Monmouth. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage before his passing on Feb. 21, 2009.
Ginny worked at Pioneer Plastics in Auburn for many years until her retirement, and later worked at Ballard’s Day Care in Augusta. She was a member and elder of the Wales Presbyterian Church, a member of the Litchfield Sportsmen’s Club and the Red Hat Society in Lake Helen, Fla. Ginny enjoyed growing flowers, traveling, fishing, camping, bingo and having her family over. Every holiday her family’s special request was always her famous “Marshmallow Pudding”.
She is survived by her children, Blaine Cram of Wales, Beverly Given and husband Bob of Spring Hill, Fla., Mary Lou Black and husband Steve of Brooksville, Fla.; grandchildren, Jenny France and husband Russ of Vienna, Nicholas Cram of Wales, Elizabeth, Christopher and Jonathan Black of Brooksville, Fla.; great-granddaughter, Taylor France of New Sharon; a dear cousin, Janice Mace of Orono; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Frances Bubier, Wallace and Rita Bubier, daughter-in-law, Debbie Cram; her grandson Robert Given; a great-grandson Russell France; and a special companion of 12 years Kenneth Brownell.
