Al Borzelli of Happy Hive Farm in Hartford, Maine will be at the Rangeley Public Library on Wednesday, August 23rd at 6:00 PM to talk about the ins and outs of beekeeping. Bees are an important pollinator for flowers, fruits and vegetables, as well as producers of honey. Many gardeners keep bees to help increase crop production. If you have considered keeping bees, but need advice from an experienced beekeeper, this is the place for you! Al will come with a teaching hive for demonstrations. He encourages participants to go to Happy Hive Farm’s Facebook page prior to the presentation to look around and come with questions to ask. Please stop by or call the library at (207)864-5529 to sign up for this free program. All who are interested in learning about bees are welcome to join us.
