The Lewiston Public Library plans to host a community book exchange from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, on the first floor in the library’s Jeanne Couture Room at 200 Lisbon St.

This public program is free.

Over the years, the library has amassed a collection of donated books, and it looks to trade them out for some that the community members have at home.

People can choose from a wide variety of genres like mystery, thriller, romance, cookbooks, knitting patterns and self help.

They can bring up to three books to swap or just take one from the library. No registration or other preparation is required.

For more information, contact the library at 207-513-3135 or lplreference@lewistonmaine.gov.
