PARIS — On Sunday, Sept. 11, the First Congregational Church at 17 East Main St. in South Paris will hold Sunday School Rally Day welcoming students new and old to another year of age-appropriate encouragement.
Don Mayberry, pastor at the church, says that the kids will be encouraged and nurtured in the Christian faith, sing songs, enjoy the company of others and be welcomed into the church community. Church and Sunday school begin at 10 a.m. and conclude by 11. Parents are welcome to come to church while the children attend Sunday school or are welcome to drop the children and simply pick them up at the conclusion.
For more information or to preregister, call the church office at 743-2437.
Also on that morning during the church service the morning message will be one of hope and healing to mark the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 events. Mayberry said, “We will not dwell on what happened 10 years ago as much as we will focus on the need to heal and move forward in hope.” The morning sermon title is “A Healing Soul.”
First Congregational Church always welcomes visitors. The church is handicap accessible. Services are broadcast live on AM 1450 and AM 780. For more information go to www.southpariscongregational.com.
