Welcome to Maine, a state where we kill babies, allow teens to choose their gender, and take away parents’ rights.
On May 1, over 1,000 pro-choice and pro-life people went to Augusta to give testimony against bill L.D. 1619.
While campaigning, Gov. Janet Mills said she would not change the existing abortion laws. Within a few months she proposed a bill to have late-term abortion in the event that the mother’s life was at risk, but since that law is already in existence, it turned into abortion anytime up until birth, as long as a medical provider signed the papers.
Planned Parenthood, a business which provides these abortions, spoke in favor of this bill.
Planned Parenthood donates thousands of dollars to Democrat politicians to make sure they can continue to take babies’ lives.
Their money spoke louder than the voices of people who are against this bill, people who voted for these politicians.
But our Legislature also refuses to hear a bill that would allow a mother the right to change her mind about an abortion right before the procedure starts.
When it looked like the abortion bill would not pass the House, the Democrat speaker called for a recess. After several hours they returned and voted yes.
Next election people should know who they are voting for.
