LISBON— Police have located the suspect vehicle and driver involved in a Tuesday hit-and-run with a bicyclist, officials said in a statement Wednesday afternoon.
The unnamed driver was wanted for questioning about the crash involving an 11-year-old boy who was riding through a crosswalk at Routes 9 and 196.
Lisbon Police Chief Ryan McGee said Tuesday that officers believe the boy was riding across the Route 9 crosswalk as the traffic light turned green — signaling the driver to go. He said police “just want to talk to the person” because the situation “could have been a complete accident.”
McGee said the driver is cooperating with investigators.
No names or further information are being shared at this time, McGee said.
