The Auburn Public Library plans to offer the following computer classes in July at 49 Spring St.:

• Understanding the Internet, 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 6. This course introduces the origins of the internet, how it works and what can be done on the internet.

• Internet Safety, 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, July 18 and 25. This class teaches how to keep one’s information and computer/devices safe. (This is a two-part course.)

Both programs will take place in the second floor computer lab. Registration is required. For more information on either of these programs or to register, visit auburnpubliclibrary.org or call the reference desk at 207-333-6640, ext. 4.

This program is offered via a partnership with the National Digital Equity Center. If this is a first time taking a class with NDEC, the registrant must complete a one-time enrollment form. To do so, go to digitalequitycenter.org. Those who need help completing this form can call or visit the reference desk.

For more information about the center or to see other available classes, visit its website.
