NORWAY — This spring the congregation of the First Universalist Church of Norway (Unitarian Universalist) joyfully welcomed eleven new members on April 30 and June 18. The new members were received in a welcoming ceremony during the Sunday services when each new member signed the church’s historic membership book. The First Universalist Church, a liberal Welcoming Congregation, was founded in 1799. First Universalist Church is the oldest congregation in Norway and the oldest continuously operating Universalist Church in Maine.

Photographed with Rev. Fayre Stephenson, new members welcomed on April 30 were (l-r) Lily Turner, Suzanne Norman, Jenni Cappello, Jen Woodworth, and Terry Robinson.
