A community prayer box has been installed at Second Congregational Church, on the corner of Main and Paris street in Norway, on a tree near its church sign.
The community is invited to share requests for prayers. The box includes paper, pens and pencils.
There is no need to include a name or any contact information to participate. People can just write down a prayer request, place it through the slot in the box where it is securely kept, and the church’s “prayer team” will lift up those prayers, according to a news release from Kate Wood with the church.
The box, checked throughout the week, is locked so requests are private.
