Edward Little announced earlier this week that it has hired Tyler Shennett as coach of its girls soccer team.
Shennett is a 2010 Edward Little High School graduate who coached the St. Dominic Academy girls soccer team from 2019-21. He also has served as a track and field coach at St. Dom’s.
“He brings an extensive coaching background and resume, as well as outstanding knowledge of the game to the position,” Edward Little athletic director Todd Sampson said in news release from the school announcing the hire. “He is a well-established coach who possesses a true understanding of education-based athletics.”
Shennett, a Thomas College graduate, lives in Auburn with his wife and newborn daughter and teaches mathematics at Auburn Middle School.
He played soccer and participated in track and field all four years in high school. Along with his stint at St. Dom’s, he also has coaching experience with Global Premier Soccer and Seacoast United.
Shennett replaces Miles Bisher, who led the team from 2018 to this past fall.
