DEAR SUN SPOTS: Mexico Congregational Church, UCC, the “Green Church” at 163 Main St., will hold its Annual Spring Rummage Sale on Saturday, June 10 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The sale will be held in the dining room, with two entrances on Mitchell Street, one has an elevator to the lower level.
The sale will feature baked goods as well as puzzles, books, household goods and other useful items at reasonable prices. Raffle tickets will be on sale for a handmade quilt with the winning ticket drawn at the church’s Christmas Fair on Nov. 4. A raffle calendar will also be sold for daily drawings that will be held daily from Nov. 24 to Dec. 22. The calendar has valuable gift certificates from businesses throughout western Maine.

ANSWER: I like the way you have tied your two events together — that’s some savvy marketing there! I know it is only the beginning of summer, but giving folks something to look forward to and put on their calendars for that busy holiday time is smart thinking.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Fairbanks Union Church, at 583 Fairbanks Road, Farmington, will be hosting another gigantic Two-Day Yard Sale on June 16 and 17. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. There will be no early birds and donations are being accepted.

You have been so helpful to our small church community and we are very grateful for all you do for us.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: This is for all the “boys and girls” from the Rumford High School Class of ’78! Our 45th reunion is scheduled for Aug. 26 at 49 Franklin in Rumford!
Happy Hour starts at 4 p.m., followed by a wonderful buffet dinner. The fun will continue from 7-10 p.m. with a fab DJ who will play all our fave ’70’s hits! (A block of rooms will be saved at the Best Western Plus Hotel at 50 Prospect St.)
