At “Murder on the Menu,” the audience will enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by chef David Hansen, while watching the cast of real “characters” as they present a play with a little slapstick, hilarious wordplay, a little confusion, many twists, and lots of fun.

The play, written by Bill Hand, is directed by Linda Duarte. Cast members are Henry Quintal, Kathleen Brainerd, Dorothy Shull, David Wallace, Shirley Bernier, Peter Nicoll, and Andy Mass. Actors will circulate to be questioned. Will you be able to figure out whodunit and why? Discuss the clues and suspects with your table-mates and come up with your answers and you could win a season ticket to Freeport Players’ plays.

The menu has several choices. The main course is penne pasta (with G-F option), tomato or cream sauce, and feature of sauteed veggies, grilled chicken, or seafood (scallops and shrimp). In addition, dinner will include garlic bread made with olive oil, garden salad dressed with vinaigrette, and a choice of delectable desserts — varied cheesecakes, chocolate mousse, and cakes. Coffee, tea, and water will be provided. BYOB for alcoholic drinks.

Doors open for seating at 5:30 p.m. The show begins promptly at 6 p.m. For tickets, go to fcponline.org.  All tickets are $48 and must be purchased online, in advance, due to menu needs. Menu choices will be part of the ticketing process, with a form submitted by email.
