DEAR SUN SPOTS: We are two senior citizens who just had to replace our router and we can’t connect it to our printer after many attempts. Is there someone locally who could help us out? I think a person that helps folks with tech problems would be very successful! Thank you for all you do. — No name, no town

ANSWER: This should be an easy fix that may even be accomplished remotely. In the Rolodex, I have Angela Carter. Her website is https://www.angelascms.com/. You can send her an email at j.angela.carter@angelascms.com or reach her by phone at 520-9573. She is my computer guru and got me out of quite a tangle with my multiple devices. She’s terrific.

Readers, if you have other tech support who will come to your home, please send me a recommendation to slip into the Rolodex. There’s always room for more!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: We are looking to have some remodeling done to our house, specifically the bathroom.  In the old days it was simple. All you had to do was grab a phone book and look under “Home Remodeling” and a listing of names would come up.

Now fast forward, and today that’s not an option. Would you or your readers have any recommendations for contractors in the Lewiston-Auburn area who could help us in this remodeling effort of ours?

We enjoy reading your column every day and learn so much information.  Thank you for all you do. — Arlon, no town

ANSWER: Things are more complicated today in every way. There are so many choices! You may want to check in with your local hardware store, Home Depot, or Lowe’s to see if they have recommendations for local contractors.

In the Rolodex, I have Powell and Sons (https://powellandsons.com/. Go to their website and fill out the form to describe your project and get started with a free estimate.

I also have Twin City Construction (https://twincityconstruction.com/) They also have an online form or you can call them at 241-2656.

Meanwhile, I hope readers will write in to share their recommendations if you’ve dealt with a local contractor who completed your recent renovation. There are many to choose from and Sun Spots readers and I really appreciate knowing who does good work. Especially in this electronic age, word-of-mouth is still the best way to get a job started and finished in a satisfactory manner so please don’t be shy with your recommendations.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Does anyone know who would buy an apartment full of furniture? — No name, no town

ANSWER: I know there are businesses that do residential cleanouts, but you would be paying them for their services.
