WATERFORD — Eighteen kids participated in the Waterford World’s Fair Wee-Man Contest (which also is open to girls). Participants had to toss sticks of wood, turn over a rubber disc and carry two pails partially filled with sand. The contestant with the best time was the winner. Contestants were divided into two age groups, 8 years and under and those over 8 years. In the younger group Tanner Bickford of Woodstock was the first-place winner, second place went to Paul Rudman of Otisfield, third place went to Timmy Hemingway of Harrison, fourth place Skyy Worster of Harrison, fifth place was a tie with Jaycee Frutos of Harrison and Lauryn Bedard of Waterford, seventh place Saige Winslow of Waterford, eighth place Gretta Neddenriep of Stow, ninth place Jason Gurney of Milton and 10th place Dean Rudman.
In the over 8 years group, Reggie Westleigh of Greenwood took first place, second place was Tasker Winslow of Waterford, third place Emory Frutos of Harrison, fourth place Jasmine Rondeau of Waterford, fifth place Grace Neddenreip of Stow, sixth place Henry Frutos of Harrison, seventh place Emily Simmons of Waterford and eighth place to Destiny Adams of Parsonsfield.
