Gillian Countway checks out the new, studded shoes on her horse, Fleur, Tuesday afternoon at Underwood Farm in Auburn where she boards the former racehorse, a granddaughter of the famous racehorse Seattle Slew. Dashiell Jorgensen, a farrier from Brunswick, had just fitted Fleur with the studded shoes for better grip.
