LEWISTON — World experts in creativity and innovation will gather Saturday, July 30, at USM’s Lewiston-Auburn Campus to share their knowledge and experience with area business, education and social leaders. The conference was organized by American Creativity Association, which is made up of creative professionals from all walks of life. One speaker humorously defined “creative professional” as “someone whose job involves thinking creatively every day — and usually has to report to someone who does not.”

The all-day conference is focused around the fact that creativity is not just something that people are born with, but is a process that can be learned and applied. Program sessions range from business and industry focus to daily personal development.

Speakers are from the cutting-edge of creativity with practitioners of the art, science and application of creativity sharing their skills, tools and techniques. The goal is to help participants innovate and problem-solve quicker and more effectively.

The full conference is open to the general public. The fee is $150, inclusive.
