Guy E. Rowe Elementary School sixth-graders Grant Winship (left) and Kyalo Mulandi were selected to lead SAD 17’s directors in the Pledge of Allegiance to open the school board’s Monday night meeting. The two requested that they also be given the opportunity to present a speech they had written on what Rowe means to them. The speech read in part, “…we look forward to coming to school every day, to be with our friends and do new stuff. It’s fun and we can expect good things of the day.” Also pictured: SAD 17 School Board Vice Chair Jared Cash of Norway. Nicole Carter / Advertiser Democrat
