WATERVILLE — Terion Moss led the way for University of Maine at Farmington in a 96-79 win over Thomas College in North Atlantic Conference men’s basketball action Tuesday.
Jack Kane had 20 points and Dylan Griffin dropped in 10 points for the Beavers (14-7 overall, 10-1 NAC), who led 46-31 at halftime.
James Thomas Phelan paced the Terriers (3-17 overall, 1-10 NAC) with 23 points. Matthew Hadnot helped out with 13 points and Rico Limcaoco had 10 points.
MMA 92, BATES 91, OT: Curt Heinz paced a balanced Mariners (8-12) attack with 20 points in a overtime win against the Bobcats (7-12) in Castine.
Markus Ramirez had 19 points while Carter Rubin had 14 points and Connor Tuerff had 13 points for Maine Maritime Academy. Isaiah Oquendo and Malachi Reincke each had 10 points. Reincke scored the winning layup with two seconds left in overtime
Jahmir Primer led all scorers with 34 points in the loss, capped off by a go-ahead layup with 25 seconds left. Peter Psyhogeos dropped in 24 and Brady Coyne finished with 13 for Bates.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
THOMAS 63, UMF 51: Gray-New Gloucester graduate Sam Fortin had a game-high 26 points for the Terriers (2-17) in the win over Beavers (2-17) in Waterville.
Hannah Coolen chipped in with 10 points for Thomas.
Grace Dwyer led UMF with 13 points while Maddy White had nine points.
