Sarah Doucette fills an order Jan. 18 at the new Subway restaurant at 848 Minot Ave. in Auburn. The shop is substantially larger than the one that closed at 545 Minot Ave. when the lease was up. Franchise owner Devin Bergeron says the new location at the former Holy Donut seats up to 50 and has a drive-thru and more employees. He says he is hoping eventually to have 15 to 18 employees. Several dozen players swapped teams continuously throughout the morning’s “friendly” games that often became quite competitive.
