100 Years Ago: 1922

“Collars make dainty Christmas gifts, and there are linds for every neckline, square, round V-shaped, and one new piece of neckwear has not only a collar, but a vestee attached to it.

50 Years Ago: 1972

If there are any old toys lying around the house, outgrown and unused, members of the Lewiston High School Key Club would like to have them. The civic-minded men are collecting toys to be given to the Salvation Army for distribution among needy children at Christmas.

The toys can be either new or old. The boys will clean up and fix up any that need it.

Pete Dusseault is supervising the project in which all members of the club are participating. Anyone who has items to be picked up may call before next Wednesday.

25 Years Ago: 1997

“A Bride’s Christmas,” will be featured at Longfellow-Wadsworth House. The hours are Friday and Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
