Our state representative, Sheila Lyman, voted against issues most important to Jay, Livermore Falls and Livermore. I am deeply disappointed.

She is a retired teacher and claims to support education, but voted against laws that would have benefited students, parents and teachers. A dismal record.

Other issues most important to her constituents besides education are worker rights, for which she voted against 87 percent of the time.

We need a legislator who has endorsements from educators and working people. That person is Tamara Hoke.

It’s time to vote for someone who will support working men and women. Someone who knows of the hardship we are all experiencing, whether one lives in Jay, Livermore Falls or Livermore.

Tamara Hoke has been a lifelong Jay resident. As our town librarian she has her finger on the pulse of this district.

I hope our community members vote for Tamara Hoke for House.

Gary McGrane, Jay
