Article Gifting

Article gifting is a sharing feature on site that allows our paid subscribers to “gift” free access to articles via a dedicated button at the top of the story.   Here’s how it works:

• Subscribers can gift up to 5 different articles each month using the gift article feature. The allotment replenishes every 30 days.
• When a gift article link is shared with a recipient, they can read it with or without a subscription. Links may be shared via email or copied for you to share via text or on your social channels.
• These gift articles will not count towards the limited number of articles available to non-subscribers and will be available for recipients to read for 14 days.
• Once you share a gift article, you can continue to share it as many times as you’d like through any of the gift article options for the next 30 days.
• Links shared on social media or by other means will be accessible to the first 10 clicks/devices. The link will expire on the 11th device.

How do I gift an article?

• You must be logged in. When you select the Gift icon on any article, a gifting panel will appear, detailing how many gift articles you have remaining to share this month.
• Each time you select a share option from the gifting panel, your monthly count will automatically decrease by one article.
• Once you’ve shared an article, you can continue to share the same article with multiple recipients for 30 days, without it counting towards your overall allotment.
