Senior College in the Community, in partnership with the Auburn Public Library, is planning the fifth program in its series, Happiness, Humor and Health.
This class will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St. Auburn, in the Androscoggin Room.
Instructor Dr. Elcha Buchmann will present. “You don’t have to be a scientist to know that humor and laughter make you feel good,” Buchmann said in a news release from the library. “So is it the endorphins? The ridiculousness? The punch line? Your racing pulse? Your big breaths? Identifying with the joke, story, cartoon? Why does a belly laugh bring tears? We will share and learn together the answers to these and even more questions as we explore the connections between happiness, humor, laughter, health, and life in general.”
