I’m writing in support of Tamara Hoke’s campaign to represent the residents of state House District 76.
I use that term purposefully. Tammy will represent us in Augusta.
Her desire to serve has grown out of her lifelong commitment to this area, her knowledge and direct experience of people’s needs, and her recognition that the status quo isn’t good enough.
She would bring new energy to the political process and new ideas that will benefit our community — a diversified economy, strong public schools and stewardship of the environment. These are not radical ideas, but they are necessary ones.
We need representation that is thoughtful, independent and forward looking. Tammy would be that representative.
I hope people join me in voting for her on Nov. 8.
