The Lewiston Area Public Health Committee is looking for feedback from the public on the desire for a community conversation forum about COVID-19.

The committee has been discussing what the community has experienced since 2020 in regards to the pandemic. Although community members have rallied together in efforts to reduce the risks of spreading COVID-19, loved ones have passed, many people have been in isolation, precautionary methods have become the norm, fear has been prevalent, and ongoing ripple effects continue, according to a news release from Dottie Perham-Whittier, community relations coordinator at Lewiston City Hall.

As such, committee members would like to know if Lewiston area residents would be interested in some format of community conversations to reconnect, share from the heart, gain strength in numbers, and look forward with less fear.

To provide input about this idea, interested residents can complete a survey at lewistonmaine.gov/conversations.
