Boston Red Sox outfielder Rob Refsnyder homered twice in a rehab appearance, and Alex Binelas also homered and drove in four runs for the Portland Sea Dogs in a 10-7 win Sunday against the Richmond Flying Squirrels at Hadlock Field.

Portland took 5 of 6 games from Richmond as it maintained its lead in the Eastern League’s Northeast Division second-half standings.

Refsnyder, recovering from a knee injury, hit a solo home run in the first inning and a two-run shot in the third to give the Sea Dogs a 3-0 lead.

Richmond tied it in the fourth, but Binelas restored Portland’s lead with a three-run homer in the bottom half. The margin grew to 10-3 before the Flying Squirrels scored four runs in the ninth.

Brayan Bello, also on a rehab assignment, started on the mound for the Sea Dogs and recorded six strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings, allowing two hits and one run.

NATIONAL BANK OPEN: Simona Halep won the National Bank Open for the third time, beating Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 in Toronto.

Halep also won the tournament in 2016 and 2018 when it was called the Rogers Cup. It’s the 24th title of Halep’s career and first since switching to Patrick Mouratoglou as her coach.

• Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain won the men’s tournament in Montreal, beating eighth-seeded Hubert Hurkacz of Poland 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.

FOOTBALL

NFL: New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson will have arthroscopic surgery on his injured right knee Tuesday in Los Angeles.

Wilson suffered a bone bruise and torn meniscus during the Jets’ second offensive series Friday night in their preseason opener at Philadelphia.

The procedure to repair the meniscus, which will be performed by orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache, will determine how long Wilson will be sidelined. Wilson is currently expected to be out two to four weeks based on initial tests, but there’s a chance he could be out longer.

• Miami Dolphins cornerback Trill Williams tore his ACL in the team’s preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Coach Mike McDaniel confirmed.

• Nick Mullens completed 7 of 9 passes for 94 yards and one touchdown, and the Las Vegas Raiders beat the Minnesota Vikings, 26-20, in Las Vegas.

The Raiders moved to 2-0 after a 27-11 win over Jacksonville in the Hall of Fame Game.

Jarrett Stidham, who started at quarterback for Las Vegas, completed 10 of his 15 passes for 68 yards. He also ran for 16 yards on four carries, including a touchdown.

ENGLAND: Opposing managers Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel received red cards after clashing following the final whistle of a feisty 2-2 draw between Chelsea and Tottenham that featured an equalizer in the sixth minute of stoppage time by Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

During the match, Conte celebrated Tottenham’s first equalizer, by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the 68th minute, by barging into the chest of Tuchel, sparking a melee among the two sets of coaching staff.

Then, after Reece James put Chelsea back in front in the 77th, Tuchel set off on a sprint past Conte and down the touchline, clenching his fist in pure delight.

Kane’s goal came in the sixth of seven added-on minutes, the striker glancing in a header that took a touch off the thigh of James before going into the net.

n Playing its first home game in the Premier League since 1999, Nottingham Forest somehow escaped with a 1-0 win over West Ham thanks to a fortunate goal by Taiwo Awoniyi, who saw a block from a defender strike his leg and ricochet into the net.

GERMANY: Sadio Mane had two goals ruled out through VAR, but Bayern Munich still managed to beat Wolfsburg 2-0 in the Bundesliga on first-half goals by Jamal Musiala and Thomas Muller.

GOLF

EUROPEAN TOUR/LPGA: Ewen Ferguson of Scotland captured the second title of his rookie season on the European tour by winning the ISPS Handa World Invitational by three shots in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.

Ferguson closed with a 1-under 69 to complete a wire-to-wire victory at Galgorm Castle, adding to his win at the Qatar Masters in March. He finished at 12 under.

Connor Syme and Borja Virto tied for second place after closing rounds of 68.

In the women’s event, Maja Stark of Sweden closed with a 10-under 63 for her third victory this year on the Ladies European Tour, and this one with an additional perk.

The tournament was co-sanctioned with the LPGA Tour, giving the former Oklahoma State star access to join the LPGA.

Stark finished at 20-under 271, five shots clear of Allisen Corpuz, who closed with a 68.

CHAMPIONS TOUR: Miguel Angel Jimenez won the Boeing Classic for his third PGA Tour Champions victory of the season, closing with a 5-under 67 to hold off David McKenzie by two strokes in Snoqualmie, Washington.

Jimenez, tied for the lead with Billy Andrade entering the round, birdied five of the first 12 holes and parred the last six. The 58-year-old Spanish star finished at 15-under 201 at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge.
