PARIS – Voters overwhelmingly approved the Oxford Hills School District’s $34.6 million budget Tuesday.

They also and authorized spending $1.2 million to resolve a mold problem at the Otisfield Community School and address handicap accessibility issues at three other elementary schools.

The Paris tally was 177-65 in favor of the budget. The Otisfield school funding passed 150-90. Money for the handicapped accessibility projects at the Norway, Harrison and Waterford schools was approved 166-70.

The combined tally for all eight towns is: school district budget, 857-355; Otisfield school funding, 695-333; handicapped accessibility funding, 733-277.

The three elementary school projects are: $35,000 to build a handicapped ramp and add automatic doors at Harrison; $19,000 to install a ramp and automatic doors at Waterford; and $51,686 to replace doorknobs with levers and install automatic doors at Norway.
