The military Humvee is on loan for as long as needed from the U.S. Department of Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service, Lt. Niles Yeaton said.

The Humvee, which seats four and has a small, rear cargo bed, is believed to have been built in 1987 and refurbished in 2007, Yeaton said.

Cpl. Ken Charles, Sgt. Steve Lowell and Yeaton keep an eye out for used military items that can be used by the department.

They are also looking at possibly getting GPS units, he said.
