Nick Todisco of Bridgton, a woodworker, is a juried artist showing all year at Gallery 302, a cooperative gallery at 112 Main St. in Bridgton.
According to a news release from the gallery, his passion for woodworking began in seventh grade when he was first introduced to it in school.
Todisco continued woodworking through high school in a Building Trades program. He was selected to work with a local carpenter during this time, and is grateful to have learned through these hand-on experiences.
Since then, he has been a hobbyist woodworker in his spare time.
He enjoys taking a raw piece of wood an envisioning what he can create based on the type of wood with all of its unique patterns and characteristics.
Todisco enjoys making practical pieces, such as cutting boards and serving platters and make them unique with wood burned designs.
