BETHEL — Telstar Middle School Rebels easily dispatched Buckfield 17-1 on Tuesday for their first win of the season.
Telstar Rebels got on the board in the first inning. Telstar Rebels scored one run on a stolen base.
Telstar Rebels tallied six runs in the fifth inning. Telstar Rebels offense in the inning was led by Brennan W., Connor D., Carter I., Brayden E., and Landon B., all driving in runs in the inning.
Bear O. toed the rubber for Telstar Rebels. The fireballer allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out seven.
Brayden R. led things off on the hill for Buckfield. Brayden surrendered ten runs on 14 hits over three innings, striking out three. Logan H. and Ethan O. entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.
Telstar Rebels tallied 17 hits in the game. Brennan, Brayden, Gage B., Clark C., and Bryson W. all collected multiple hits for Telstar Rebels. Brayden and Brennan all had three hits to lead Telstar Rebels. Telstar Rebels stole 20 bases during the game as five players stole more than one. Bryson led the way with five. Telstar Rebels didn’t commit a single error in the field. Brennan had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.
