AUBURN — McG United Soccer Academy is excited to again bring back the Elite Soccer Academy session for this summer. This group is made up of 12-to-16-year-old players who wish to prepare for the upcoming middle and high school season. It teaches and promotes ball control, small-sided skills, and games ending the day with a full field match.

This year’s coaches are again going to be Dan Gish and Abdijabar Hersi. Dan is the Varsity Boys Soccer coach at Lewiston High School and has complied a two-year record of 25-1-1. Coach Gish was a twenty-year assistant coach for the Blue devils before becoming the head coach. Coach Hersi is currently the assistant coach at Central Maine Community College, a very capable and competitive playoff team. Abdijabar was also a valuable assistant coach at Lewiston High School.

The McG United Soccer Academy will take place July 25-29 at the Lewiston Area Youth Soccer Association fields in Auburn. Anyone who may want to obtain a brochure can contact Mike McGraw.

There is a discount for players who register before May 15 and another before July 1st.

Team Discounts

Again this summer there will be a team discount for those Elite Players who will play on their respective teams if there are five or more from their middle or high school team.

Local schools will have flyers to the soccer academy available in their respective main office area or on the school website in some cases. A flyer could be obtained by email as well. Contact Mike McGraw at mmcgraw@lewistonpublicschools.org
