Henry Josephat Emile Poulin

LEWISTON – Henry Josephat “Joey” Emile Poulin, 74, a resident of Poland, was lifted by God’s angels on Friday, April 22, 2022 after battling cancer at St Mary’s D’youville Pavilion in Lewiston.He was born Sept. 4, 1947 in Livermore Falls, the son of Josephat Poulin and Blanche (Judd) Poulin. He attended school in Livermore Falls. He was a devout Catholic, loving husband, father, Pepere, uncle, brother and friend to many.Joey worked various jobs throughout his life to include construction (masonry), manufacturing and his most beloved job as an activity’s coordinator with his wife Beverly at Victoria Villa nursing home in Canton, Maine.He spent numerous hours listening to and calming patients who suffered from various ailments to include dementia and Alzheimer’s. His loving attitude and calm demeanor were magical when it came to bringing peace to upset patients. He cared so much for each patient, that he would stay with them and administer love, understanding and kind words during their struggle with death. He had a kind soul and gentle demeanor that we all should strive to emulate.He enjoyed dancing, gardening, and playing music (guitar, banjo, and drums).He is survived by his children, Cory Poulin, Tony Poulin (Donna), Lisa Poulin, and his stepson Todd Winchenbach (Deena); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his sisters Geraldine Richards (Linwood), Florence Couture, Jeanine Hebert, and Gloria Norton (Gordon); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina; his wife Beverly; his father and mother; four brothers, and seven sisters.
