LIVERMORE FALLS — Regional School Unit 36 approved several staffing nominations made by Superintendent Sue Pratt on Thursday.

The board voted to approve second probationary contracts for the 2011-12 school year for Jan Barlow, high school art teacher; Deanna Hamblin, half-time nurse at Livermore Elementary School; Jeannette Benedetto, reading at high school; and Katie Lafreniere, English teacher at high school.

Lafreniere’s contract was initially recommended to be terminated due to a change in local conditions. However, school directors voted against it in April. A position became available after another teacher decided to retire, Pratt said.

Directors also approved continuing contract for the 2011- 13 school year for Jenna Cote, special education; Jennifer Plante, English at high school, Christina Bamford, special education at Crossroads Behavioral Program.

The board also voted to approve one-year extensions for contracts for Michelle Smith, clinical social worker at Crossroads; Chris Beaudoin, school social worker; Scott Ladd, computer technician; Glenn Eichel, half-time data coordinator federal grant funded; Penny Jackman, food service manager.

Pratt also notified the board she accepted the resignation of Nancy Purinton, an education technician at the Livermore Elementary School.
