I have known Peggy Rotundo for 20 years and have always admired and respected her. She is a mover and a shaker, and she gets things done.
The Franco Center is a perfect example of that. In 2000, when the center was founded, she played a major role in getting $1 million from the state to help with the restoration of the former St. Mary’s Church. That money helped get that huge undertaking off the ground, and it gave the project hope and credibility. The board of directors then decided to make her an honorary Frenchman, giving her a plaque with the name of Peggy Rotundeau on it (spelled the French way).
As former executive director and founding member of the Franco Center I will forever be grateful for having known and worked with Peggy. She is a woman of action and would make Lewiston a better place for everyone as state senator.
