I worry about the big divide in our country. If this situation in Ukraine becomes a war, I wonder if we have any patriots who will roll up their sleeves and say, “What can I do to help my beloved country?”
Or do we have a bunch of whiners who will cry over the price of gas and be armchair generals?
We are in a dire state right now, and our president needs us to stand behind him. He is trying to do what’s right for our country and our allies.
Vladimir Putin must love to learn that America is severely lacking in patriotism and bravery. We will never be that country that stormed Europe during the Second World War. We had pride in our soldiers and the American flag; I wonder if that is gone.
Patriots at home lived with ration tickets for gas, sugar, etc., and planted victory gardens; who would do that today?
I am afraid patriotism is fading, and that whining, complaining and disrespect have taken its place.
This is America. Let’s all get behind our president; let’s be one America.
