SCARBOROUGH – Beverly (Houghton) Wellman, 74, died March 1, 2022, surrounded by family at her home on Higgins Beach.
Bev graduated from Edward Little High School, before building her career in non-profit management and running the family’s store Baer’s Place on Higgins Beach for many years.
She loved road trips, time with her pets, and opening day at Hodgman’s.
Bev was predeceased by her husband, Barry Wellman; and their son, Eric Edgecomb.
She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Edgecomb, Heather Wellman, and Eric’s wife Chantal; her grandchildren Wyatt and Seneca Edgecomb; her niece, Joannie Stasulis; and many close friends.
A private family graveside service will be held at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home, 1024 Broadway, South Portland.
