FARMINGTON — Ten graduating seniors in Maine’s only Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program will reading from their original works in poetry, fiction and non-fiction at University of Maine at Farmington’s Creative Writing Senior Reading.

The free public event will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, in The Landing in the UMF Olsen Student Center.

Each student’s reading will draw from his/her portfolio created as a senior capstone project in UMF’s competitive creative writing program. A culmination of each student’s academic career, portfolios consist of the student’s best writing while at UMF, an artist statement and a self-assessment of their work.

Seniors who will read include: Abrahamm Beane of Anson, Nick Berry of Livermore, Abby Brostek of Fairfield, Emma Deans of Gorham, Ben Gray of Anson, Sarah Gauvin of Hancock, Kelsey Lowe of Cumberland, R.I., Ellen Marlow of Belfast, Jada Molton of New Sweden and Natasha Nelson of Isleboro.
