FARMINGTON — Registration for University of Maine at Farmington 2011 May and smmer term courses is now open to members of the public not currently enrolled in a UMF program.

Courses are available in the arts, business, humanities, education, natural science, social science and more. Classroom-based courses, Internet courses and travel courses are available.

Complete course listings can be found online at www.umf.maine.edu. Click on “Take a non-degree undergraduate course” found in lower center box labeled “Community Resources.” Select the “Take one course” option, click on the May or Summer 2011 tab, and select a subject to see the courses offered. Members of the public can preregister for any May or summer term course online by adding them to the online bookbag. They will then be contacted by a representative from the UMF Merrill Center.

Individuals may also register in person between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Merrill Center in UMF’s Merrill Hall, 224 Main St. May term courses begin on May 16, and summer term courses begin on June 27. Both sessions last between four and five weeks. Course registration is available on a first-come-first-served basis.
