ROCKLAND — High school students can learn about techniques for visual journaling in a free drop-in workshop, led by Arts@Work mentor Alexis Iammarino, set for 2-5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17.

The session will be held at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art’s ArtLab, 21 Winter St.

Participants can exchange ideas about how to create a journal or sketchbook on a regular basis, as well as how this creative habit can support personal projects.

All materials are provided.

CMCA offers free workshops and studio demonstrations for high school students on the third Friday of each month in its ArtLab.

This series is part of CMCA’s Arts@Work program, a free mentorship program connecting high school students across the Midcoast region to arts leadership, career development, volunteer opportunities and studio practice.
