Farmington — Joicey C. Gosselin, 85, a former resident of Jay, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, late Tuesday morning, April 19, at Orchard Park Nursing Home in Farmington, where she had resided for the last two years.

She was born December 12, 1925, in East Livermore, the daughter of Charles I. and Christine (Gilbert) Crosby. Joicey was a 1944 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. On August 17, 1946, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married Laurence Castonguay, he passed away March 3, 1960. She later met Lucien Gosselin and they were married on November 12, 1960. He passed away, July 17, 1971.

She made her home and raised her family in South Livermore on the Norlands Road. After selling her farm, she moved to Jay. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas Castonguay and his wife, Mariette, of Jay, Adelard “Eddie” Castonguay and his wife, Ruth, of Livermore; Charles Castonguay of Wilton, and Joseph Castonguay and his wife, Patty, of Lisbon; daughters, Geraldine Harvell and her husband, Jim, of East Dixfield, and Marianne Marstaller and her husband, Jeff, of North Yarmouth; 13 grandchildren and 8 great -grandchildren; stepdaughters Noreen Gosselin of Wilton, Alice LaFreniere and her husband, Morrell “Sonny,” of Livermore, and Linda Nagy and her husband, Robert, of North Carolina; her brother, Charles Crosby and his wife, Natalie, of Lewiston; and her sister, Lillian Cote of Livermore Falls.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Germaine Washburn; brothers, Edmond and Vernon Crosby; her sister, Arlene Grover; and her stepson, Ron Gosselin.
